The Institute of Fire Safety Managers (IFSM) approve our fire risk assessors.
An FRA (Fire Risk Assessment) is around 20- to 30-page long.
Our engineers will observe and check your property for any fire risks, including the construction type, the exits, policies, and more, to see which of our services are relevant to your requirements. Then, our recommendations are put forward in our report. We ask that you provide correct certifications to prove that any previous testing is current.
If you need to update certification, our engineers will conduct the testing and assist with this if necessary.
Examples of test certs which are required will be:
Eicr 5yr commercial or landlord - within 5 years, depending on the environment
Pat test certs - within 3 to 12 to 24 months, depending on the environment
Emergency light testing within 12 months
Fire alarm within 6 months - carbon monoxide
Aov roof vent within 12 months
Dry riser within 6 months
Fire extinguisher within 12 months
Gas cert within 12 months
Fire door compliance confirmation and user checks
What happens after I place my FRA order? You will receive an email confirming your fire risk assessment order with the date and approximate time for one of our surveyors/engineers to attend to your property or requested site location.
Our London fire surveyor will then carry out the fire risk assessment, taking notes of everything in the specified area being assessed, taking notes of what safety measures are there and what is not there, from alarms, fire extinguishers, Emergency lights, etc and then seeing if you have any policies or fire procedures in place including the fire risk logbook exits and more, collecting all the information we require.
After the London survey is complete, the surveyor will send the information back to the office, where the fire risk assessment report will be ready to email you in PDF format. The report is normally a 20- —to 30-page document with your property's characteristics, the survey results, and possible recommendations, depending on what you have in your property.
This is your copy to keep for your records or to assist you if recommendations are noted on the report. Note that this live document can be updated and changed as recommendations arise or laws change.
The time to complete a fire risk assessment can vary depending on the property, the environment, and the system you have on the property.
Please note that our surveyors will contact you if they run behind on their daily testing visits. We endeavour to get to you on time.
The recommended retest date will be on the provided fire risk assessment, and we will send a reminder 1 month before it expires to give you time if you want to re-book back in before expiry.
You have two ways to pay: either upfront online via the website, or you will be invoiced on completion of testing. However, certification will not be released until payment is made unless you are an existing account customer or this has been pre-agreed.
